Alfabetização x letramento

Segundo MARLI RAQUEL ASSUNÇÃO DE OLIVEIRA LÁZARIA a alfabetização é um processo praticamente mecânico apreendido, na maioria das vezes, dentro das salas de aula já o letramento é um conjunto de conhecimentos que o indivíduo acumula ao longo da vida. Seguindo esta linha de pensamento a alfabetização um dia tem fim, isto é, termina quando o indivíduo adquire a capacidade de compreensão dos sinais que compreendem determinada língua escrita. É importante ressaltar que alfabetização e letramento caminham juntos embora nem todo sujeito letrado precisa, necessariamente, ser alfabetizado. Cabe-nos deixar um questionamento. O individuo alfabetizado não necessariamente pode ser letrado, pois para isso apenas pode saber ler e escrever de forma funcional, porém não consegue produzir suas idéias e projetá-las com clareza afim de que outros possam compreender e crescer com seus apontamentos. O letramento acontece enquanto o individuo existir e gozar de suas faculdades mentais em perfeito estado enquanto que a alfabetização se encerra quando o individuo adquire as habilidades de enteder e decifrar os códigos da leitura e escrita.
